Seated Calf Raise
Over the last couple years I’ve received a lot of requests for a seated calf raise. After tinkering with this belt squat, and with the help from the comments section, I decided to try it out.
I shuffle some stuff around to make it work. First I remove the eyebolt, then I add a floor flange to that spot.
I remove the 12 inch black pipe from the middle flange and screw it into the front flange. The I unscrew the top half of the handle.
The handle is then screwed into the middle flange. I remove the bottom part of the handle from the back flange and set it aside.
I add some padding to the middle piece.
I use the AbMat Chest Up Pad for the seat. Side note, you can use coupon code DIY10 to get 10% off your entire order at AbMat.com.
Whoops, it’s a little too tall for me.
A quick trim with the circular saw and it is good to go.
When partnered up with my DIY calf raise block, it works well.
I test it out with some weights and it feels decent.
A few adjustments and it’ll be perfect. Is this a better option for calf raises at home? Let me know what you think.
