This is a handmade rustic Echo Dot stand made from alder wood. Alder wood is a hardwood with few knots and a distinctive grain pattern. There are three finishes to choose from. The natural finish is simply a light clear coat of polyurethane. The espresso finish is a dark wood stain. Carbon gray is a light coat of paint. 

This item looks great with modern rustic decor in any home. There is a hole cut into the back that allows easy access to the audio and USB ports, and two holes on the bottom to allow for sound. The are four rubber feet on the bottom to give a slight elevation and help to keep it in place. The approximate size is 3.75"x2"x4" 

Keep in mind that wood varies in color, figure, and texture, with no two boards looking exactly the same. There are even color varieties within each species. The wood I use for this display is called alder. It is an eco-friendly and sustainable hardwood grown in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Alder is almost white when freshly cut, but quickly changes on exposure to air, becoming light brown with a yellow or reddish tinge. After cutting and sanding each piece, I apply a wood stain or coat of polyurethane to achieve the final color. I try my best to accurately represent the final color in the photos, but each piece of wood can turn out lighter or darker depending on the density of wood, amount of wood grain, and wood coloring prior to stain. Please understand that this is the nature of wood, there is always natural variety. If you are looking for an item with consistent color and texture a plastic, felt, or acrylic display may be a better option for you.
